The Golden Compass Sport (model GP605) is a center-wheel drive power wheelchair designed for indoor maneuverability and everyday outdoor use on smooth surfaces. It uses a patented springless articulating chassis designed to maintain constant contact with the ground for traction and stability. The Compass Sport has a top speed of 4 mph and an operating range up to 24 miles with standard batteries, with an optional extended range up to 34 miles using optional 50 Ah batteries.

Why We Recommend Golden Compass Sport

The Compass Sport is a solid choice when tight maneuvering matters but you still want a full-featured power wheelchair with a longer operating range. Center-wheel drive and a 24 inch turning radius support indoor navigation, and the articulating chassis is designed to improve traction and stability across changing surfaces.

Shipping

Free shipping to the 48 contiguous United States. Full-size and heavy-duty scooters ship via LTL freight carrier; compact and folding models typically ship via FedEx or UPS. Most in-stock orders leave the warehouse within 2–5 business days, with delivery 5–10 business days after shipment. Additional charges apply for shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and remote or rural areas — we’ll contact you before processing if extra fees apply.

Freight Delivery

Freight carriers deliver curbside to your driveway or front entrance. The carrier will call you to schedule a delivery appointment window. Please make sure a standard freight truck can safely access your address; if it can’t, you may need to meet the driver at a nearby accessible location. An adult 18 or older must be present to sign for the shipment.

Inspecting Your Delivery

Inspect the packaging carefully before signing the delivery receipt. The driver is not required to wait while you unbox the scooter.

  • If the packaging looks clean and undamaged, sign and accept the delivery.
  • If you see any holes, dents, tears, or crushed corners, note the damage on the delivery receipt before signing, then accept the delivery and contact us.
  • If the packaging is severely damaged, refuse the shipment as “Damaged in Transit,” have the driver note it on the BOL, and call us immediately.

Concealed Damage

If your scooter is damaged but the packaging looked fine at delivery, contact us within 72 hours of arrival so we can file a carrier claim and get you a fast resolution. Claims filed after 72 hours cannot be honored by the freight carrier.

Returns

We want you to be fully satisfied with your scooter. If you need to return a non-defective unit, returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery and meet all of the following:

  • The scooter must be unused, in new/resalable condition, and in its original packaging with all manuals, chargers, keys, and accessories included.
  • You must request a Return Authorization (RA) number from us before shipping anything back. Returns without an RA will be refused.
  • A 20% restocking fee applies to all non-defective returns.
  • The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a tracked, insured freight service — we can’t issue a refund on a scooter that’s lost or damaged in transit back to us.

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll refund the purchase price minus the 20% restocking fee and any deductions for missing accessories or damage.

Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Items

If your scooter arrives damaged, defective, or we shipped the wrong item, that’s on us — contact us within 72 hours and we’ll cover replacement parts, a repair, or a prepaid return label at no cost to you. No restocking fee applies.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Used or operated scooters
  • Custom-configured orders (custom seating, upgraded tires, color changes, etc.)
  • Batteries sold separately from a scooter
  • Opened consumables and personal-use accessories

Order Cancellations

Orders can be canceled at no charge before they leave the warehouse. Once the scooter has shipped, our standard return policy applies.

Questions? Contact us at support@rydego.com or (949) 377-4714 before placing your order — we’d rather help you pick the right scooter the first time than process a return.
