Jazzy Air 2 Elevating Power Wheelchair Specifications

The Jazzy Air 2 is a mid-wheel drive power wheelchair designed to provide everyday mobility with an integrated power elevating seat system. Pride lists a 300 lb weight capacity, Active-Trac suspension, and a power seat elevation of up to 12 inches while maintaining driving capability.

Why We Recommend Jazzy Air 2

The Jazzy Air 2 is built for users who need eye-level access and functional seat elevation without transferring. Pride allows the chair to be driven while elevated, which supports daily activities such as reaching counters, cabinets, and interacting at standing height.

Power Seat Elevation

  • Seat elevation: up to 12 inches
  • Drivable while elevated
  • Integrated into base, no add-on lift

The power elevating seat is designed as a core feature of the Jazzy Air 2. Pride specifies that the chair can be driven while elevated, allowing continued mobility at raised height.

Drive System and Handling

  • Drivetrain: mid-wheel drive
  • Turning radius: 20.75 inches
  • Active-Trac suspension

The mid-wheel drive layout places the drive wheels under the user’s center of gravity, supporting tight indoor turns and stable handling.

Speed and Range

  • Maximum speed: up to 4 mph
  • Per-charge range: up to 12.6 miles at 300 lbs, up to 16.8 miles at 200 lbs

Pride’s published range values are based on standardized testing. Actual range varies with user weight, terrain, battery condition, and driving habits.

Wheels, Tires, and Suspension

  • Drive wheels: 10 inch solid
  • Front casters: 6 inch solid
  • Rear casters: 6 inch solid
  • Suspension: Active-Trac

Solid drive wheels reduce maintenance related to flats while Active-Trac suspension keeps all six wheels engaged with the ground.

Who This Power Wheelchair Is Best For

This power wheelchair is best for users who need seat elevation for daily tasks, want to maintain mobility while elevated, and prefer mid-wheel drive maneuverability for indoor and outdoor use.

What to Expect When It Arrives

Shipping

Free shipping to the 48 contiguous United States. Full-size and heavy-duty scooters ship via LTL freight carrier; compact and folding models typically ship via FedEx or UPS. Most in-stock orders leave the warehouse within 2–5 business days, with delivery 5–10 business days after shipment. Additional charges apply for shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and remote or rural areas — we’ll contact you before processing if extra fees apply.

Freight Delivery

Freight carriers deliver curbside to your driveway or front entrance. The carrier will call you to schedule a delivery appointment window. Please make sure a standard freight truck can safely access your address; if it can’t, you may need to meet the driver at a nearby accessible location. An adult 18 or older must be present to sign for the shipment.

Inspecting Your Delivery

Inspect the packaging carefully before signing the delivery receipt. The driver is not required to wait while you unbox the scooter.

  • If the packaging looks clean and undamaged, sign and accept the delivery.
  • If you see any holes, dents, tears, or crushed corners, note the damage on the delivery receipt before signing, then accept the delivery and contact us.
  • If the packaging is severely damaged, refuse the shipment as “Damaged in Transit,” have the driver note it on the BOL, and call us immediately.

Concealed Damage

If your scooter is damaged but the packaging looked fine at delivery, contact us within 72 hours of arrival so we can file a carrier claim and get you a fast resolution. Claims filed after 72 hours cannot be honored by the freight carrier.

Returns

We want you to be fully satisfied with your scooter. If you need to return a non-defective unit, returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery and meet all of the following:

  • The scooter must be unused, in new/resalable condition, and in its original packaging with all manuals, chargers, keys, and accessories included.
  • You must request a Return Authorization (RA) number from us before shipping anything back. Returns without an RA will be refused.
  • A 20% restocking fee applies to all non-defective returns.
  • The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a tracked, insured freight service — we can’t issue a refund on a scooter that’s lost or damaged in transit back to us.

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll refund the purchase price minus the 20% restocking fee and any deductions for missing accessories or damage.

Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Items

If your scooter arrives damaged, defective, or we shipped the wrong item, that’s on us — contact us within 72 hours and we’ll cover replacement parts, a repair, or a prepaid return label at no cost to you. No restocking fee applies.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Used or operated scooters
  • Custom-configured orders (custom seating, upgraded tires, color changes, etc.)
  • Batteries sold separately from a scooter
  • Opened consumables and personal-use accessories

Order Cancellations

Orders can be canceled at no charge before they leave the warehouse. Once the scooter has shipped, our standard return policy applies.
