Go Chair MED Power Wheel Chair Specifications

The Go Chair MED is a portable power wheelchair designed to break down into smaller pieces for transport. It uses a rear-wheel drive system, supports up to 300 lbs., and offers up to 9.41 miles of range per charge.

Why We Recommend Go Chair MED

If you need a power wheelchair that can be taken apart for loading into a vehicle, the Go Chair MED is built around simple disassembly and compact handling. Its 25.5 inch turning radius and small overall footprint help in tighter indoor spaces, while the 300 lb capacity and solid drive wheels support everyday use.

Disassembles into 4 components Heaviest piece when disassembled: 36 lbs. (rear section) 300 lb weight capacity Up to 9.41 miles range per charge Rear-wheel drive drivetrain 9 inch solid drive wheels

Feather-touch Disassembly and Transport

  • Disassembles into four easy-to-stow components
  • Heaviest piece when disassembled: 36 lbs. (rear section)
  • Disassembly process: remove seat, remove battery, then separate rear from front using the disassembly lever

This power wheelchair is built for transport by disassembly, not folding. The design focuses on breaking the chair down into manageable pieces for loading and storage.

Compact Maneuvering

  • Turning radius: 25.5 inches
  • Overall length: 33 inches (with footplate)
  • Overall width: 25.5 inches (with armrest)

The Go Chair MED is sized for tighter pathways and indoor navigation. The turning radius is specifically useful for smaller rooms, hallways, and positioning at tables.

Performance and Rear-Wheel Drive

  • Drivetrain: two-motor, rear-wheel drive
  • Maximum speed: up to 3.7 mph
  • Ground clearance: 1.75 inches (at motor)

Rear-wheel drive provides stable tracking and predictable control. Speed and range will vary with user weight, terrain, and battery condition.

Tires, Wheels, and Basic Ride Characteristics

  • Drive wheels: 9 inch solid
  • Front wheels: 6 inch solid casters
  • Rear wheels: 3 inch solid anti-tips
  • Suspension: limited

Solid drive wheels reduce maintenance related to flats. Pride lists the suspension as limited, so you should not expect a full suspension ride.

Seating Options

  • Seat-to-ground height: 22 to 23 inches
  • Standard seating type: compact, foldable
  • Seat sizes: 18 x 17 (seat weight 29 lbs.) or 20 x 18 (seat weight 32 lbs.)
  • Seat material: black vinyl

The Go Chair MED offers two seat size options and a compact seating setup intended to keep the chair portable while still supporting a 300 lb capacity.

Battery, Charger, and Electronics

  • Range per charge: up to 9.41 miles
  • Battery requirements: 20 Ah battery pack (battery weight 31.4 lbs.)
  • Battery charger: off-board, 2-amp
  • Standard electronics: 40-amp, PG GC3

This power wheelchair uses a 20 Ah battery pack and an off-board charger. Pride’s published range is a standardized test result and will vary based on real conditions.

Braking System

  • Braking system: regenerative and electromechanical

The braking system is designed to control stopping and hold the chair as part of the drive system, using regenerative and electromechanical braking.

Who This Scooter Is Best For

This power wheelchair is a fit for users who want a portable chair that disassembles for transport, need a compact footprint for indoor navigation, and want a manufacturer-rated range up to 9.41 miles per charge. It is also suitable when rear-wheel drive is preferred and a 300 lb capacity is required.

What to Expect When It Arrives

The Go Chair MED is designed to separate into four main components for transport and storage. Expect a setup where the seat and battery can be removed, and the chair base can be separated into front and rear sections using the disassembly lever. The system uses an off-board 2-amp charger and a 20 Ah battery pack.

Shipping

Free shipping to the 48 contiguous United States. Full-size and heavy-duty scooters ship via LTL freight carrier; compact and folding models typically ship via FedEx or UPS. Most in-stock orders leave the warehouse within 2–5 business days, with delivery 5–10 business days after shipment. Additional charges apply for shipments to Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and remote or rural areas — we’ll contact you before processing if extra fees apply.

Freight Delivery

Freight carriers deliver curbside to your driveway or front entrance. The carrier will call you to schedule a delivery appointment window. Please make sure a standard freight truck can safely access your address; if it can’t, you may need to meet the driver at a nearby accessible location. An adult 18 or older must be present to sign for the shipment.

Inspecting Your Delivery

Inspect the packaging carefully before signing the delivery receipt. The driver is not required to wait while you unbox the scooter.

  • If the packaging looks clean and undamaged, sign and accept the delivery.
  • If you see any holes, dents, tears, or crushed corners, note the damage on the delivery receipt before signing, then accept the delivery and contact us.
  • If the packaging is severely damaged, refuse the shipment as “Damaged in Transit,” have the driver note it on the BOL, and call us immediately.

Concealed Damage

If your scooter is damaged but the packaging looked fine at delivery, contact us within 72 hours of arrival so we can file a carrier claim and get you a fast resolution. Claims filed after 72 hours cannot be honored by the freight carrier.

Returns

We want you to be fully satisfied with your scooter. If you need to return a non-defective unit, returns must be requested within 30 days of delivery and meet all of the following:

  • The scooter must be unused, in new/resalable condition, and in its original packaging with all manuals, chargers, keys, and accessories included.
  • You must request a Return Authorization (RA) number from us before shipping anything back. Returns without an RA will be refused.
  • A 20% restocking fee applies to all non-defective returns.
  • The customer is responsible for return shipping costs. We recommend using a tracked, insured freight service — we can’t issue a refund on a scooter that’s lost or damaged in transit back to us.

Once we receive and inspect your return, we’ll refund the purchase price minus the 20% restocking fee and any deductions for missing accessories or damage.

Damaged, Defective, or Wrong Items

If your scooter arrives damaged, defective, or we shipped the wrong item, that’s on us — contact us within 72 hours and we’ll cover replacement parts, a repair, or a prepaid return label at no cost to you. No restocking fee applies.

Non-Returnable Items

  • Used or operated scooters
  • Custom-configured orders (custom seating, upgraded tires, color changes, etc.)
  • Batteries sold separately from a scooter
  • Opened consumables and personal-use accessories

Order Cancellations

Orders can be canceled at no charge before they leave the warehouse. Once the scooter has shipped, our standard return policy applies.
